Korean BBQ-Style Pork Tamales

Holiday season’s here and we’re getting creative at Open Kitchen! We’re excited about this creation of Asian Fusion Tamales with house-made tamales dough! We marinate our pork shoulder with lots of aromatics such as garlic, onion, and ginger, Korean red chili paste (Gochujang), soy, rice wine, sesame oil, and honey – then braised it for hours so that the meat is super tender and flavor. We serve these tamales with a house-made BBQ sauce with spicy Gochujang, chipotle, mirin, ginger, soy or tamari, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and green onions.

Pork is a great source of lean protein and is high in thiamine

Onions are loaded with vitamins C, B9 & B12, and antioxidants, to support the immune system, red blood cell production, and nerve function.
Ginger is an immune-boosting herb that is loaded with antioxidants & has anti-inflammatory properties.
