Your meal will be available for pick up on Wednesday, Nov 18th

Your chef-prepared meal will be ready for pick up on Wednesday, November 18 – fully cooked and prepared so you can heat it up for dinner that night or freeze to enjoy later in the week. Pick Up 4-6pm at Bath Tub Row Brewery, Los Alamos.

Creamy Miso Mushroom Soup

(Vegetarian)

This is a creamy mushroom soup with irresistible umami flavor.  A mix of wild mushrooms are sautéed with fresh thyme and shallots, and then stewed with garlic, cream, and salty miso.  The combination of umami and earthy mushrooms is a fabulous fall weather soup to bring you warm and comfort

Mushrooms contain B vitamins as well as a powerful antioxidant called selenium, which helps to support the immune system and prevent damage to cells and tissues.

 

Miso is rich in essential minerals and a good source of various B vitamins, vitamins E, K and folic acid. As a fermented food, miso provides the gut with beneficial bacteria.

 

Heirloom Tomatoes and Carrot Tops Pesto Galette with Parmesan Crust

Tomatoes have a long list of health benefits and they are rich in vitamins C & K, potassium & folate. The bright red color comes from the phytonutrient lycopene which enhances its benefits by cooking with oil.

 

Carrot Tops are rich in nutrients. They have approximately six times more vitamin C than the carrots, as well as lots of potassium, calcium & phytonutrients.

Applewood Smoked Farmhouse Meatloaf with Bourbon Cherry Glaze

In the great wide world of comfort food, meatloaf is most everyone’s favorite dish.  Of course, what constitutes the perfect meatloaf recipe is open to interpretation.  I’m bias to this meatloaf recipe from our original Open Kitchen in Washington DC Metro from one of our chefs…it’s made with a nice balance of ground beef, pork, and bison plus chopped bacon and slowly baked and glazed with a bourbon cherry sauce.  Served with Olive Oil Smashed Potatoes and Garlic Sautéed Spinach—Perfect Comfort Food!

Persian-Inspired Braised Chicken with Pomegranate and Walnuts

This is a luscious and comforting stew made for fall! Inspired by a beloved Persian dish “Fesenjan,” this chicken dish is earthy, rich and tangy, bursting with Middle Eastern flavor!  Chicken pieces are browned and then slowly cooked in a sauce with ground toasted walnuts and pomegranate molasses with a hint of aromatics such as turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange zest.  Fesejan is soulful and oh so satisfying!

Simple Syrups

These handcrafted, all-natural syrups are made with organic cane sugar & either fresh organic ginger, organic hibiscus, or organic lemongrass. You can use these as a cocktail mix by adding to vodka, gin, tequila, rum, or sparkling wine. Or, make it a “mocktail” using seltzer or soda water or add some flavor to an iced tea – whatever suits your fancy! Each 12 oz jar of syrup can be used to make approximately 10 to 15 cocktails or mocktails.

You can also get creative and use our syrups in your recipes. Inject into layers of cake before you add your icing. Use them when you poach fruits like pears, apples, or peaches or add a drizzle to your fruit salad. Create marinades when baking or grilling fish or meat.
