In March 2017, Open Kitchen designed and facilitated an off-site interactive board bonding cooking experience for Kitchen Angels’ Board of Directors where members were called upon to use creativity, communication skills, collaboration, goal orientation and leadership skills.
On September 10, 2018, Open Kitchen was an in-kind sponsor for the Kitchen Angels Benefit Concert featuring the B-52s at the Santa Fe Opera by designing and catering the VIP reception with a special themed menu of B-52s lyrics.
On June 15, 2019, Open Kitchen was an in-kind sponsor for Kitchen Angels benefit dinner by designing and executing Open Kitchen’s Table 2-3-1™ concept that featured Chefs Hue-Chan Karels and Dave Sellers presenting an amazing wine pairing dinner featuring dishes using three common ingredients from the Italian and Vietnamese food cultures and concluding with a sweet surprise dessert that unites both cultures. The benefit dinner met and surpassed Kitchen Angels’ sponsorship and ticket sales goals and plans are in place for future Kitchen Angels benefit dinner utilizing Open Kitchen’s Table 2-3-1™ concept.
On October 27, 2019, Open Kitchen was an in-kind sponsor for Kitchen Angels Feasting with Friends by hosting a Brunch Feast of Paella, Sangria, and Cava. The event was attended by almost forty friends and 100% funds raised benefited Kitchen Angels’ mission to provide free, nutritious meals to our homebound neighbors facing life-challenging conditions.
