Grilling and barbecueing are techniques we will explore in this cooking class! Both have significant regional, national, and global variations to describe distinctive cooking methods with the commonality of using live fire and smoke to lock in moisture. Our chefs will guide you through the art of grilling “hot and fast” and barbecuing “low and slow” with a variety of finger-licking BBQ sauces and spices to broaden your summer party menu!. In this class, we will learn about making the tangy, sweet orange tamarind BBQ sauce; Cajun blackening spice with smoky paprika and oregano; lemony and creamy sauced salmon; and the Argentinian Chimichurri sauce that goes with everything on your table! Take your learned skills home and cook in a variety of ways all summer long!

What to Expect: This is a hands-on, engaging, and intimate cooking class.  You will have the opportunity to cook alongside Open Kitchen Chef Team, dine on all the dishes you’ve made, and have fun.  You will experience a memorable day at Open Kitchen among a community of friends with recipes to take back to your home kitchen.

 

*This cooking Class is a publicly offered event. At Open Kitchen, we follow the related rules and regulations regarding COVID-safety. The cooking classes are limited in the number of guests so we can provide the recommended space and safe environment for everyone. The maximum guests for this cooking class is 16 people. Cooking Class is $115 plus tax per person

All guests will be required to show proof of vaccination upon checking in. For those who are not vaccinated, we will also accept proof of negative results from a COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event. Photos may be taken by Open Kitchen during class/event. Unless you explicitly make a request to Open Kitchen not to be photographed, Open Kitchen has full consent to take photographs while you are on our premises. Open Kitchen has full and unrestricted rights of these photographs. *Registered Events are non-refundable unless related to COVID and Health-related issues – we will hold a credit for 60 days.
