Flavor of Thousands of Years: Northern Vietnamese Cuisine Cooking Class
Event date: May 7, 2022 ∙ 10 am to 1 pm
Registration Deadline by Wednesday, May 4th, 2022
Join Open Kitchen for a Culinary Journey and Taste the Distinctive Flavors of Northern Vietnamese Cuisine
Northern Vietnam is the cradle of Vietnamese civilization. The climate is colder and the variety of spices and availability of herbs and vegetables is limited. The food is lighter and less spicy than in the Center and South regions. Join Open Kitchen’s Chef-Owner Hue-Chan Karels in this hands-on cooking class and take a dive deeper into the fundamentals of food preparation, ingredients, and style of Northern Vietnamese dishes and experience Vietnamese history and culture through these dishes that originated from North Vietnam.
