Traditional Vietnamese Family Meal Cooking Class

Event date: April 2, 2022 ∙ 10 am to 1 pm

Registration Deadline by Wednesday, March 30th, 2022

Join Open Kitchen for a Traditional Vietnamese Family Meal…
A Beloved Aspect of Life in Vietnam

The traditional Vietnamese family meal emphasizes that all family members dine together.

Each meal has multiple dishes, typically three main: a clear soup, a protein dish, and a cooked vegetable. Meals are accompanied by rice, raw or pickled vegetables, and prepared fish sauce for dipping. Desserts are often fresh fruits or chè, a light sweet soup. Everyone has a small bowl, and all dishes and rice are put in the middle for sharing. Each person eats according to his/her preferences.

In this class, Open Kitchen’s Chef-Owner Hue-Chan Karels will share the taste and memories of a traditional Vietnamese family dinner.
