Join Open Kitchen with our guest Chef Jordan Rivera in Rome and Tuscany as we explore some amazing regional dishes. We explore a few seasonal items and what makes them so popular in this part Europe. Fresh cheese coming across your palate. Come with us to Naples as we make beautiful Mozzarella by hand to marry with fresh tomatoes (Intro to Italy Cooking Class I). Then let’s travel to Veneto to enjoy egg yolk stuffed Raviolos and the classic Tiramisu (Intro to Italy Cooking Class II). You will learn how all these amazing flavors complement each other and why. While also learning all the techniques to make them at home for your familia.

Caprese Salad with Fresh Mozzarella
Freshly melted cheese curd that is brined, served with Heirloom tomatoes, basil Genovese and balsamic reduction. (vg, gf)
Pine nut Goat Cheese Raviolo with Egg Yolk
The larger cousin of a ravioli will be served with a pine nut goat cheese filling and egg yolk. Topped with a simple brown butter sauce. (v)
The classic Veneto dish with espresso dipped lady-fingers, topped with creamy amaretto mascarpone and dusted with cocoa and espresso. (v)
What to Expect: This is a hands-on, engaging, and intimate cooking class. You will have the opportunity to cook alongside Open Kitchen Chef Team, dine on all the dishes you’ve made, and have fun. You will experience a memorable day at Open Kitchen among a community of friends with recipes to take back to your home kitchen.
*Intro to Italy Cooking Class II is a publicly offered event. At Open Kitchen, we follow the related rules and regulations regarding COVID-safety. The cooking classes are limited in the number of guests so we can provide the recommended space and safe environment for everyone. The maximum guests for this cooking class is 16 people. Intro to Italy Cooking Class II is $115 plus tax per person
All guests taking our PUBLIC cooking classes will be required to show proof of vaccination upon checking in for class. For those who are not vaccinated, we will also accept proof of negative results from a COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event.
*Registered Classes are non-refundable unless related to COVID and Health-related issues – we will hold a credit for 60 days.
