Open Kitchen has the pleasure of presenting a special curated menu for the O’Keeffe Museum’s Gruet Tasting Event on September 16th! Hue Chan Karels, owner and chef of Open Kitchen has designed a special Open Kitchen French-inspired Vietnamese tasting menu for the Tasting which will be paired with the wines offered by Gruet’s Head Winemaker, Laurent Gruet.
A special presentation will also be presented by Ariel Plotek, curator of Fine Art.
The distinctive taste of Vietnamese food reflects centuries of foreign influences, its unique geography with diverse regional specialties, and a cooking philosophy designed around balance and harmony. Please join me with special guests Laurent Gruet and Ariel Plotek for an evening of beautiful art, fine wines, and tasty tales of how Vietnamese absorbed French culinary influence into its food culture.
